Sakshi Hegde

Hello everyone! I’m Sakshi Hegde, a twenty-something-year-old passionate about sustainability, chocolate, and reading.

I am passionate about helping the environment, and I feel beyond fortunate to have been able to make my passion my career. My undergraduate degrees were in geography and sustainability, and my master’s degree was in sustainable solutions.

If you know me at all, you’ll know that I am a lover of chocolate and all things related. I love to eat it make it, and even write poetry about it. It’s almost like a constant friend through life’s ups and downs. I was fortunate enough to have my first job ever at a chocolate shop where I had the opportunity to make chocolate-covered strawberries and talk to customers about all of our delicious products.

I have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. From devouring the American Girl books as a child (Molly McIntire was my favorite) to reading beautiful memoirs as an adult, books have allowed me to escape the sometimes chaotic world and dive into another person’s story.

As I have grown older, my interests have molded and changed, but the ones mentioned above have remained constant throughout my life. It’s a testament to their importance in my life, and I hope to never lose my love for them. I can’t wait to talk to y’all about these interests and so much more.
